About Me

Teaching guitar is a true passion for me and I’ve been doing it for a long time. Where the lessons become a special force is when the teacher and student make this connection that allows the material and the learning process become a balance between the mind, the hands and the individual spirit that only that student possesses. It is in that special place where the fun comes into play and the work of muscle memory and recall, the instantaneous creation of an idea, the fostering of technique building and ear-training; the process of growing as a musician begins!

What Guitar is Best for Me?

Don’t have an instrument? I offer free advice on the prospect of purchasing a guitar (amp, instructional materials, music stand, etc) and I will help you find the right instrument for the lessons, saving you both time and money. Call me for pre-purchase advice.

Electric Guitar Lessons

Learn to Rock out with the best of ’em! I teach metal, hard rock, blues, jazz, soul and funk, reggae, punk! You name it!

Theory Lessons

All Levels of theory taught – bolster your musical knowledge and know what it is you are hearing when listening to music. Study ear-training. This class has been taught at Academy at the Lakes.

Acoustic Steel String Guitar Lessons

Learn to strum. Learn fingerpicking (Travis-style) using thumb, index, middle and ring fingers. Beginner, intermediate and advanced.

BeatMaking Lessons

Use Ableton Live, use the Push MIDI controller, learn how to create sick beats and bass lines, synths and more! This class has been taught at Academy at the Lakes

Nylon String/Classical Guitar Lessons

Play classical Baroque, Spanish classical style. Play World music. Play jazz influenced and pop styles.

Bass Guitar Lessons

Fretted and fretless bass lessons taught. All styles and levels. Slap and pop, funk playing. Groove and learn to be solid as a core member of a rhythm section. Learn to solo.
